To do so Dammbeck works for a few days early 1984 in a project space run by art historian Eugen Blume and artists such as Hans Scheib, Erhard Monden and others in Sredzkistraße in East Berlin. The media collages are part of the framework of the ‘Heracles Concept’ which Dammbeck has been working on since the early 1980s. The samples are recorded with a video camera. Initially these recordings are filmed with a 16mm camera from a monitor and later projected as 16mm film in the media collages (La Sarraz, Heracles, REALFilm). In 1988, the video ‘Heracles’ is assembled in Hamburg from the original recordings of 1984.
