Although the 2008 Russian-Georgian war was now years ago, its effects are clearly present. Near the little family's home runs the border illegally erected by the Russian military. When grandfather Davit dies, they have to move to a home in the next town. When they can't stand it there anymore, they can't go back to Davit's house because Russian soldiers have illegally moved the border.
