Robert Bramkamp

"He is the great maverick of German cinema. Robert Bramkamp's films dare to do everything that the average German film tries to avoid. They are playful, experimental, don't necessarily stick to the rules and therefore sparkle like very rare gems among so many glass pearls" (Patrick Wellinski, Deutschlandfunk). The essay film TESTSTAND 7 tells the story of the dangerous inner life of the rocket, while the psycho-comedy THE CONQUEST OF THE CENTRE has been restored as film heritage. Not at all a loner, Bramkamp initiated a collective film and processed works by artist Susanne Weirich in the sci-fi film ART GIRLS. Together they directed the highly acclaimed docu-fiction MAKE UP THE WORLD.
