The source material came from the prosecution, who wanted to use it as a basis. The 120 hours of material from the broadcasts of various US television stations, which the officials of the Sacramento prosecutor's office had recorded (in poor picture and sound quality), were surprisingly made available to Lutz Dammbeck in 2002. However, there was no trial in 1998. Instead, Ted Kaczynski accepted a "Plea Bargain". With this he pleaded guilty to the charges, but there was no committal to a psychiatric institution and no execution of the death penalty. Since then, Ted Kaczynski has been sitting in ADX Florence, the first federal prison of the "super-maximum security" category in Florence, Colorado.
