Bolingo means love in Lingala - a language used by a group of Congolese migrants. These women give voice to the migrants’ drama playing out in North Africa. In search of the "European dream", they are temporarily stranded in Morocco. Some women set up a camp where they can live with their children until circumstances allow them to cross the border into Europe. These women talk about their dangerous journey and what is at times forced motherhood. Their voices traverse the darkness, their faces barely illuminated, their experiences too painful for daylight. But there is also a soft glimmer of hope - they are alive and raising their children.
