A vibrant doc-film community that supports each other, develops and discusses common ideas. docfilm42 is a mainly Berlin-based indie documentary film initiative. A platform for independently produced, low-budget documentaries to showcase their diversity and cinematic quality to a wider public. It focuses on socio-political issues often ignored by the mainstream. It specifically promotes directors and crews with a migration background as well as women directors. docfilm42 aims to be a networking hub for filmmakers to connect with a lively film community both online and with screenings in indie cinemas. It is a forum for discussions, an exchange of ideas, as well as debates on socio-politically relevant issues. docfilm42 is also active on social media - Facebook, Instagram and Twitter - and has regular blogs in German and English on Medium.
